Maeklong
Train vs. Maeklong Market
This
is a unique market that is held every day literally on
the rail tracks. Just before the train arrives in the
town, the market stallholders have to pull back their
awnings and remove their produce from the tracks. They
then have to repeat all of this when the train returns.
Fortunately it is not a busy track. The train leaves
four times and it arrives four times. The track is not
part of the national network. It only runs between Samut
Sakhon and Samut Songkram.

Hua
Hin
The
oldest and most traditional Thai
resort combines the attractions of a
modern holiday destination with the
charm and fascination of a still
active fishing port.
And while most other Thai holiday
destinations cater mainly to foreign
tourists, Hua Hin is a holiday
resort for foreigners and Thais.
Besides it's great 5 mile long beach
Hua Hin provides the highest density
of world class
golf courses anywhere in
Thailand while it's yet virtually
undiscovered as an international
Golf destination.

Chiang
Mai
Founded in 1296 AD, Chiang Mai is a culturally and
historically interesting city, at one time the capital
of the ancient Lanna kingdom. Located among the rolling
foothills of the Himalayan Mountains 700 km north of
Bangkok, it could only be reached by an arduous river
journey or an elephant back trip until the 1920s. This
isolation helped preserve Chiang Mai's distinctive charm
intact to this day.
